Confessions of a Serial Returner

Here’s the thing: sometimes I change my mind about what I buy. You know, take it home, look at it in a different mirror, have a change of heart, buy something else. Well, you get the picture. So I am frequently – frequently — stuck with merchandise that needs to be returned to the store. Sometimes I’m embarrassed to return an item, especially if the salesperson spent a major chunk of time with me or went out of her way. Such was the case with a pair of booties that I returned today to the Michael Kors Boutique in Dallas. They were hot, but went with an outfit that I ended up returning (do you see a pattern here?) so I just didn’t need them. The MK salesgirl was fantastic and treated me royally when I bought them; she was just as courteous and professional when I ended up returning them 2 days later. The store may have lost a sale today, but it made a loyal customer. Anybody else buy and return on a regular basis?
