S/S 2010: Ballet Flats from Marc Jacobs

Recently I have realized that it is almost a year since we talked about summer shoe collections. Looking back at those shoe lines I see a huge difference in designer decisions from collections they offer this summer. But there is still an exception. Nothing seems to be more popular than simple but charming ballet flats. And today I suggest that you take a look at Marc Jacobs version of a ballet flat for Spring – Summer 2010.

The designer presented a ballet flat made of suede in black color. It features classic round toe and a very low heel that is almost invisible. Its design is simple - surface of the shoe is trimmed with fancy adornment details. To adorn a ballet flat Mark Jacobs has decided to use multicolor pastes. Sometimes pastes look excessive and obtrusive, but here it is all right. The little multicolor pastes form on the toe part an image of a mouse - a funny face, ears and a tail. I would say, the result looks quite fancy and childish. Such shoes are a perfect decision for young girls who still love to feel kids.

The greatest advantage of the ballet flats is a combination of style and comfort. You may wear them at a small party with friends, or use them for everyday wear. The ballet flats can be paired with jeans or black short dress. What is more, every club goer will definitely enjoy them – you can dance the whole night and so not suffer from foot ache.

And the last but not the least, we only have a price of the novelty to mention. The ballet flat designed by Marc Jacobs and featuring a funny mouse on it cost as much as $ 280. Is the flats worth this sum of money or not, it is up to you to decide. Good luck!
